Shootout × Keeper Of The Flames
Shootout is proud to be partnering with Keeper of the Flames as we prepare to bring our women’s hockey story to the ice this October.
As our team began planning our championship game sequence, we knew we wanted to recognize that filming would take place during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. What started as a conversation about incorporating a small pin into Coach Carolyn Bruce’s game-day wardrobe grew into an opportunity to connect Shootout with an organization doing meaningful work right here in the Savannah community.
Keeper of the Flames supports women affected by breast cancer and works to ensure that no woman has to navigate that experience alone. Their mission made the organization a natural community connection for our production, particularly as Shootout tells a story centered around women, health, support, and the difficult decisions athletes sometimes face when caring for their bodies.
Through this collaboration, we’re excited to bring Breast Cancer Awareness Month into the world of the Atlanta Ice Dragons while also using our production to help bring attention to the work Keeper of the Flames is doing beyond the screen.
For our team, Shootout has always been about more than what happens during a hockey game. It’s about the people standing beside you when you step off the ice—and we’re incredibly grateful to have Keeper of the Flames standing alongside us as we head toward production.
