Meet the Cast: Jia Gay as Coach Bruce

We're excited to welcome Jia Gay to the cast of Shootout as Coach Carolyn Bruce, head coach of the Atlanta Ice Dragons. Coach Bruce leads the Ice Dragons through the pressure of Game 7 while Nicole faces an increasingly personal decision about her future. The character brings an important perspective on leadership, responsibility, and recognizing when an athlete's well-being must come before the game. An Atlanta-based actor, Jia most recent work includes Amazon Prime's Scarpetta and the Peacock series People Like Me. Jia's is most excited to work with this talented cast and crew on a well-written, feel-good movie filled with meaningful life-lessons. Although she's new to hockey, she already feels drawn to the U.S. Women's National Team. We're thrilled to welcome Jia to the Ice Dragons!
