Meet the Cast: Kayla Brosseau as Fiona Salo-Blackwell

We're excited to welcome Kayla Brosseau to the cast of Shootout as Fiona Salo-Blackwell, Nicole's wife and alternate captain of the Atlanta Ice Dragons. Fiona brings a strong sense of loyalty and leadership to the team while navigating the pressue of Game 7 and the growing strain surrounding Nicole's injury. Kayla's previous work includes Paramount Television Studios' The Offer, as well as the films Book of Life and La Rouge Noir. A graduate of the Univeristy of the Arts with a BFA in Acting, she also brings an extensive background in physical performance to the role. Kayla is especially exited to combine several parts of herself in Shootout: getting back on the ice, taking on the physical preparation for the role, and bring queer representaion to the screen. With Swedish family herself, she's also having fun improving her Finnish for Fiona — even she admits there's a little irony in that. As for hockey loyalties, Kayla says being an Angeleno who's been giften King seats gives her a moral obligation to root for Los Angeles. But after previously living in Flordia, she still has fond memories of Panthers games — including throwing rubber rats onto the ice. We're thrilled to have Kayla joining the Ice Dragons!!
