At the center of the film are Nicole Blackwell, captain of the Atlanta Ice Dragons, her wife and alternate captain Fiona Salo-Blackwell, and head coach Carolyn Bruce—three characters whose relationships shape much of the story both on and off the ice.
Finding the right performers means looking for more than someone who simply fits the role on paper. We're bringing a cast that can bring the relationships, pressure, humor, and emotional weight of the story to life while feeling at home in the world of hockey.
Casting will continue as we fill out the Ice Dragons, opposing players, and the rest of the world surrounding Nicole and Fiona.
We're excited to begin putting faces to the characters that have lived on the page for so long.
